Busy Mama...

I've been so busy doing so many things. But I've come back to the Babyhead Diaries with pics and stories to tell.

Pics:

Sonogram Pic of Hassan Elijah Williams at 19 wks.

My Tummy at 20 Wks.

My Weight:
I weighed myself about 2 wks. ago and I was 129lbs (I started off at 115lbs). I am fine with that, but I'm not sure how my doctor is going to act. I know that ideally women should only gain about 35 lbs. during pregnancy, but I think that's a bit of bolderdash. I know lots of women who have gained more and had average size babies as well as gotten back down to their pre-pregnancy size.

Where the Weight Goes:
7.5 - 8.5 lbs Baby
2 lbs Amniotic Fluid
1.5 - 2 lbs Placenta
1.5 - 2 lbs Breast Tissue
3 lbs Blood Volume
2 - 2.5 lbs Uterine Muscle
4 lbs Water
8 lbs Maternal Stores

My Diet: I am still doing bad on the fluids thing, I have such an issue with drinking fluids. I never really feel thirsty and I weaned myself of drinking with my meals when I was in high school, so it's a really hard habit to break. I'm doing better, but I know I'm no where near drinking 64oz. of anything a day. :(

Shopping: I've bought Hassan some clothes, but everyone in my family has told me to stop because people will buy him TONS of clothes. I still want him to have some clothes that his mama picked out. I bought his "coming home" outfit, a velour track suit, a bath robe, a sleep sack, a sleep & play (a one piece with pants), a t-shirt/pants combo, and a pack of socks.
I also got him a co-sleeper so he can sleep by our bed and breastfeeding will be easier.

Lastly, I've done a little shopping for myself in the maternity department, esp. since the weather is turning cooler here.

Well, that's it for now. I have a regular appt. with my OB/GYN on Friday and then an appointment with my Maternal-Fetal Specialist on my birthday, October 6.
